Is Taylor Hicks Gay? (Wizbang Pop!)

Well the National Enquirer wants you to think he's worried about rampant Internet rumors to that effect...

American Idol winner Taylor Hicks is caught up in a raging gay sex scandal!

The ENQUIRER has learned that the silver-haired 29-year-old bachelor has been the target of nasty homosexual lies on the Internet and in his Alabama hometown.

Ah, the nasty Internet rumor... Surely such a nasty rumor would be easy to find, right? Well the Google, she disagrees...

Google doesn't show much in the way of Taylor Hicks is gay talk, aside from recaps of the Enquirer story. TVTalkShows.com, which is doing some serious Google keyword stuffing, has this string: video of taylor hicks on live with regis and kelly - qvc black gay video; that accounts for most of the Google search results for "Taylor Hicks gay."

Crack research by the Wizbang Pop! staff has identified this Yahoo! Answers page as the source of the "Is Taylor Hicks Gay?" controversy. It's worth noting that the question is still undecided, so there's still time to have your say... (The question is now resolved).

Update: Hicks fans need to get a grip, or a life, and go do their astroturfing somewhere else; try The Dallas Morning News, or any of the other outlets that have noticed the Enquirer's stupid story. That's right Hicks fans, no one actually believes Hicks is gay.

Taylor Hicks is one of a kind and is already a star...you know you've made it when a rag like the Enquirer prints trash about you. Taylor is sexy without having to flaunt it...that alone proves he's not gay. He was a basketball star in High School and to all accounts quite the ladies man. He was the only reason I tuned in to watch AI this year and knew he would ultimitely triumph. Can't wait to see him on tour. He is huggable and loveable!!!

Taylor made me feel young again. I really tuned in every week just to watch and hear him. I think he's great and hope that he makes it real bigggg!!!! I especially liked the Elvis Presley tune he sang and performed. He really brought the house down on that one.

He is just a good ol'Alabama country boy that has made stardom and everyone is trying to get a piece of him and making up trash. I can't believe that anyone would even comment on anything written in the Enquirer. That paper is full of nothing but trash and lies and always has been and people are out here buying it and reading it and putting money in the pockets of the idiots that write the trash. People get a life. If you want to know what is going on in the world read a reliable paper or at least one with a better rep. I don't think for a minute that Taylor is gay and even if he is that is his business not the worlds.
