Tournament officials have warned players at this year's event that they risk expulsion for breaking the strict dress code by wearing overly revealing outfits.The move is targeted in part at the likes of Maria Sharapova and Maria Kirilenko, noted for their low-cut tops.
According to Times Online, the 2006 Wimbledon players' guide carries a new caution in addition to the traditional edict that players wear "predominantly white" during matches: "Any competitor who appears on court dressed in a manner which is deemed unsuitable by the committee will be liable to be defaulted."
However, tournament officials haven't completely embraced prudery.Bare midriffs -- a look often adopted by Tatiana Golovin and Anastasia Myskina -- will be tolerated, as will Rafael Nadal's "pirate shorts."

Did Brad Gilbert leave his ties at home? He is the only commentator I believe who broadcasts without a tie. He surely knows his tennis, but I believe he should leave his talents to coaching and not to tv commenting....seems a little too red neck, don't you think?
