Aqua Teen Hunger Force: The New Al Qaeda

Boston is still quaking from todays bomb scare that occured 9 times in various parts of the city. Turner Broadcasting, parent company of Cartoon Network, said the devices, which consisted of magnetic, blinking lights, were part of a promotion for the TV show "Aqua Teen Hunger Force."

That is just so fun. Especially when the character chosen to wreak havoc is a Mooninite.

The packages in question are magnetic lights that pose no danger," Turner said in a statement. It said the devices have been in place for two to three weeks in 10 cities: Boston, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle, Portland, Ore., Austin, Texas, San Francisco and Philadelphia.

Wow, how long did it take those guys from Boston to figure out that shiny flashy lights in the shape of a mooninite does not = bomb?

I saw a news story that they sent in a bomb team to blow one up! too hilarious. People are mad at turner etc... and actually until today i didn't know that ATHF actually had a connection to turner! normally i would like to see people go after turner, but in this case, i think it's the people who over reacted to a cartoon character's fault.

Good job Boston. Add this one to your list of Clinton-esque over-reactions. (don't forget about their over reaction to Opie and Anthony's April fools joke 5? years back!)

Wow, shots at Clinton and Jane in three pithy paragraphs. On an unrelated topic. In 2007.

i have seen the show and i am a big fan of adult swim mostly because they show a lot of anime. i mostly thought that shows like the aqua teen hunger force was so stupid that people had to laugh. but nowadays, people are so afraid of any and everything that a harmless ad for a funny cartoon shuts down an entire city. i hate to say this, but score one for the terrorists. this type of paranoia is exactly what they want.

How are you taking it seriously, by causing "widespread panic and destruction." (reporter question at news conference with Sean Stevens and Peter Berdovsky)

"Level 3, beware the Gorgarton. He's in love. "

"Shoot em' in the head!"

"Head shot, rampage, killing spree!"

"You have mastered Moon Master, you are the Moon Master!"

"No f--king way!"

"Yes way Err."

(Aqua Teen Hunger Force -- Moon Master)

I always knew that Err was a terrorist. As soon as all those Bostonians saw him flipping them off, they immediately came to the same realization.

Wait till they get a load of Balloonenstein. :-)

Once again George W. Bush has saved us all from the evils of 80s era video game characters. Thank heaven for God Emperor Bush and the paranoia he has brought to this great country.
